Description
Back in the day of these two sisters, some people requested grave bells. Grave bells were used in case a person was mistakenly diagnosed as dead and buried alive in which state they could ring the bell from inside the coffin to signal help from above. Business has been slow for these girls dad the undertaker, gravedigger, and graveyard attendant so with fewer people dying bills still have to be paid. So occasionally he rights this wrong and while his daughters know what he is doing, inducing death-like states with drugs, they say nothing because they enjoy waiting till after services are over to hear his customers ring their bell. Now a word from our sponsors after which you will wish you were buried alive. Thanks for your support.
I made the hearse carriage and background was all made with photos I took in Missouri.
The heart of darkness, no glamour here just a dissection of dark hearts unaware they have an audience. The good news the girls finally told police when grave bells lost their popularity, nobody wanted one because they just seemed so unneeded. The girls became popular humanitarians and wrote children's books including The Little Bell Who Could, Ding A Ling Bobbie Bell Bing, Ring Twice If You Need and Axe and many others
Great job on this piece, too.
